As women, we're often so busy taking care of others we don't take care of ourselves. In the stillness of Winter, there’s a chance to slow down, breathe deeply, and truly connect with yourself as you connect with Nature. There will be plenty of moments to practice mindfulness to help you tap into the tranquility of the landscape, so your photography becomes not just an art, but a meditative practice. It’s a chance to take a deep breath, rest, and recharge your soul while you fill your memory card.
Aela is an ethical Wildlife and Nature photographer and the founder of the first women's only Wildlife photography education program, the Intuitive Wildlife Photography Method. Her approach to Wildlife photography centers around respect for the Wild spaces and species we're fortunate to share space with and how every individual is interconnected and interdependent in one big beautiful web of life.
It's her mission to help others realize the ways in which all species are similar and to encourage others to foster their own connections with Nature. She believes that women have a vital role to play in telling the stories and protecting the Wild species and spaces of our planet. In a traditionally male-dominated space, she fosters a safe space and community for women to learn, grow, ask questions, and to thrive.
