Susan hadn’t been to Yellowstone since she was a kid. She wanted to experience this iconic landscape as an adult, camera in hand. That was Winter 2023. She was hooked and she’s been back for every trip since. Keri arrived nervous to take her camera off auto. Settings felt overwhelming, especially in the field where everything changes quickly. The Tour
Explore both the Northern Range and Yellowstone’s limited-access interior from the warmth and comfort of our own private tour vehicle, stopping to photograph incredible Wildlife and warming up with coffee, tea, and hot cocoa in between encounters. Healthy breakfasts, lunches, and snacks are included. Gluten-free and vegetarian options are available.
Yellowstone in Winter is a wonderland for Wildlife lovers: Snow-dusted Bison, Wolves howling across a snowy landscape, and Elk silhouetted on a ridge line. You’ll have chances to photograph Bison, Moose, Wolves, Elk, Coyotes, Owls, Foxes, Bighorn Sheep, Eagles, Waterfowl, and more!
While no specific Wildlife sightings are ever guaranteed, our expert guides give us the best chance of finding them.

The full amount of $8497.00 USD ($9694 USD for VIP) is due once your spot is confirmed. Flexible payment plans are also available through Affirm, Afterpay, and Klarna. Payments as low as $237/month ($35/month for VIP).
Because this is a small, curated trip with only 6 spots, payments are non-refundable except in the rare case the tour is cancelled due to under-enrollment (full refund in that case).This is exactly why almost everyone who joins us picks up trip insurance right after booking - it's inexpensive relative to the trip cost, and it's your safety net if life throws a curveball (illness, family emergency, weather, etc.) We'll point you to a couple of good options once you're confirmed.

I totally get that life can throw curve balls. Because this is a small, curated trip and spots are limited, payments are non-refundable. That said, I strongly recommend purchasing trip insurance so your investment is protected if something unexpected comes up (illness, emergencies, etc.).
Most participants choose to purchase travel insurance for peace of mind. -
Once you’re booked, you’ll be invited to a call with me. On that call, we’ll walk through everything together — what to expect, photography skill levels, packing and gear, travel logistics, and any questions you have.
You won’t be figuring this out alone. The goal is for you to feel excited, prepared, and supported well before we arrive.

This experience will be easy to moderate activity. It involves early mornings, outdoor conditions, and some walking. It is not strenuous, but participants should be comfortable spending time outdoors in Winter conditions. Appropriate clothing, footwear, and gear are required, but don't worry - I'll let you know exactly what you need to pack beforehand.

Guests arrive in Bozeman, check into lodging, and get ready for adventure!

Our guide picks us up from our lodging and we enjoy lunch together before checking into lodging in Gardiner, then exploring the iconic terraces at Mammoth Hot Springs. Private dinner together.
Day 3, January 19
Our guide picks us up from our lodging at 6:00 am and we spend the day in the Northern Range photographing Wildlife. Picnic breakfast, lunch, snacks, and drinks (coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and water) are provided. Dinner together while we learn, share, & edit.
Day 4, January 20
Our guide picks us up from our lodging at 6:00 am and we spend the day in the Northern Range photographing Wildlife. Picnic breakfast, lunch, snacks, and drinks (coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and water) are provided. Dinner together while we learn, share, & edit.
Day 5, January 21
Our guide picks us up from our lodging at 6:00 am and we spend the day aboard our privately chartered snow coach exploring Yellowstone's interior while photographing Wildlife. Day 6, January 22
Our guide picks us up from our lodging at 6:00 am and we spend the day aboard our privately chartered snow coach exploring Yellowstone's interior while photographing Wildlife. Picnic breakfast, lunch, snacks, and drinks (coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and water) are provided. Dinner together while we learn, share, & edit.
Day 7, January 23
Guests check out of lodging and enjoy breakfast together before our return trip back to Bozeman where we say "see you next time!"

You don’t need top-of-the-line gear or years of experience - just curiosity, a love of Nature, and a desire to grow alongside others.

Harassment, bullying, intentional disrespect, or destruction of property will not be tolerated and may be grounds for being asked to leave the trip at the participant’s cost. No refunds will be issued for participants asked to leave because of their own disrespectful behaviour.
About me
Aela is an ethical Wildlife and Nature photographer and the founder of Intuitive Wildlife Photography. She leads immersive Wildlife photography experiences and offers coaching designed exclusively for women and gender-diverse people. In a traditionally male-dominated field, she's built something different: a space where you can learn, grow, and thrive without the ego.
Her approach centers on respect - for the wild places we're lucky to share, and for the fact that every one of us is part of the same interconnected web of life. It's her mission to help others recognize what we have in common with the species we photograph, and to walk away from a experience with more than just images, but a deeper connection to the natural world and to ourselves.
Aela lives among the traditional homelands of the Ute, Cheyenne, Arapaho, Apache, Dakota, and Lakota, among the Ponderosa forests in the foothills of the Colorado Rockies. She is a proud cat mom of 5, a Bird nerd, and a neurospicy native.
